AUDIO VISUAL CREATIVE DESIGNER

Italian, born in Sicily at the early age of 12 started to work for local radios and TV stations, at the age of 15 lost both parents and moved to Bologna where studied a degree in Media Studies at the oldest university in the world, The University of Bologna, having Umberto Eco (The Name of the Rose) as tutor. He was also attending The Florence Film School as well as producing and directing shorts and organizing video shorts film festivals.

After graduating Simone moved to London to further his studies at the BBC Elstree Studios Production Training. From there he started work for the BBC show DEF II producing and directing art youth TV shows. After 6 year of running DEF II ended and due to his show segments popularity Simone continued producing and directing art youth TV shows to the rest of European broadcaster : ZDF, WDR, Vox (Germany) Arte (France) Rai (Italy) SRG SSR (Switzerland) and opening a small office in the heart of London: Soho.

Being in Soho which is not just the heart of the West End Theatres but also the centre of the independent films as well as the centre of television and film post-production industry , he got fascinated by the latest post-production compositing technology and started to design and produce TV idents and on-air design successfully, by winning awards internationally in London, Berlin, Amsterdam, New Orleans, Miami and New York by Promax- Broadcast Design Awards and the New York Film Festival.

Worked as Art and Creative Director for Bloomberg between London and New York, where he was chosen not only for his creativity but for his technical knowledge that helped to create and developed automatic graphics creation for newsroom software systems and teamed with virtual studios system provider VIZRT to develop virtual studio and on air design using real-time data. Live feeds of data are seamless integrated and displayed from the opening title to become part of the studio design with no interruption of information. This concept is currently used by and by major news networks.

Simone went back to his original passion of making movies and re-trained himself by getting a post-graduate diploma at Raindance Film School in London while rubbing shoulders with fellow alumni Christopher Nolan and Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey).

Simone moved to LA where co-wrote his first script and winning the selection at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. In LA, worked for Paramount Television and CBS Television Distribution for 4 years. Then moved to Palm Springs where he started to have his work broadcasted on PBS-KVCR and also work as Art Director and Apps/Web Designing for several clients like: CV Studios Entertainment, Peacemaker NGO, PSGFF and LogosE.
